Last Sunday it was the Easter day. On 25th of March there was also an Eastern market in Engen. Now I write nothing about it, but I uploaded many photos of it. Please see here (Photos). As we did something about the Easter, too, I’d like to report them.
On friday we went to “Stationen Weg”, a way with stations in the near from Lake Bodensee. We walked in to the forest and went up a mountain. There were 14 stations by this way, and there was always one picture by all stations. A Stuff explained the story of the picture with the Bible.
As you know, the Easter day is a day to observe the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The story by this way is also a story about it. 14 Pictures contains the story of his last 3 days.
I like the forest in spring. The life is shining now. It is really beautiful. I feld last year that spring in Germany is really beautiful. It was the first time that I have full realization of “spring”.
There was a small chapel on the mountain, and we felt the atmosphere. The sun shone. It was quiet. We took a rest there for a moment.
On Saturday we went to a grave chapel in Weiterdingen(near by Engen). There were 13 pictures outside, too, and there was also a sculpture of Jesus Christ sleeping in the grave. The air was cool, quiet and holy there.
On Sunday, the Easter day morning we went up a mountain “Hohenhewen” in Engen, and walked about 1 hour to a fountain on the hill. Departure time was 5:45. Yes, it was before the sunrise.
After the sunrise we drank the water and observed the Easter day, thought we couldn’t see the sunrise.
Otherwise, we had eaten no meat on Friday and Saturday because of Easter. But the Sunday’s breakfast was so luxury. There were many breads, meats, fish, many kinds of cereal, and so on. Of course, eggs with colors were also there.

It’s a shame that I can think/write only surface things, if I wirte English. Regrettably, my brain is not so intelligent…
I read a book of Jesus Christ written by Mr. Shusaku Endo at the Sunday’s afternoon. It was so interesting and I felt and thought many things, but now I can write nothing.
I hope that I can write it someday.

日曜日はイースターでした。3/25にはエンゲンのイースター市もやってました。そちらについては詳しくは書きませんが、写真を載せてあるのでこちら（Photos）をご覧下さい。一番最後のウサギが可愛いっす。学校でもイースター関連の行事があったので、ご紹介しましょう。
金曜日に”Stationen Weg”という道を訪ね、ボーデンゼー近くの山へ行きました。この道端には14ヶ所に祈念碑が立っていて、それをひとつひとつ辿りながら山を登っていきます。祈念碑は全て聖書に関わる絵（彫刻）になっていて、学校スタッフの一人が一枚一枚解説してくれました。
ご存知の人も多いとは思いますが、イースターというのはイエス・キリストの復活を祝う日でして、ここにある14枚の絵は全て、裁判によりイエスの死刑が確定するところから復活までの最後の３日間を表しています。（イエス関連の詳しい話は、ここでは割愛します。興味のある方は聖書とか関連書物を読んだらいいかと思います。）
しかし春の森というのは本当に美しい。まさに生命を感じます。去年はじめてドイツで（冬→）春を体験したのですが、それはそれは本当に、春を「実感」した出来事でした。
山の上には小さな小さな礼拝堂があって、しばしのんびりとくつろいで帰りました。とても見晴らしのいい所で、暖かく、静かな所でした。
土曜日は、聖墳墓教会というんでしょうか、Weiterdingenというエンゲンの隣町にある小さな教会に行きました。ここにも13枚の絵が壁の内側に飾ってあり、ひんやりとした空気のお堂の中には、埋葬されたイエスの像が寝そべっていました。
神聖な空気の漂うお堂の中でしばし話しを聞いていたんですが、突然、正面（ちょうど埋葬されている部屋の正反対）の壁の大きな扉が開きました。目の前に広がったのは、花をつけ始めた綺麗な庭。
しずかな深い空気が、暖かな優しい空気に変わりました。これが、このイースターの空気感なんだそうです。言葉では上手く表現できませんが、その場に居合わせると感じたものは大きかったです。
さて日曜日、イースター当日。朝から近所の山、Hohenhewenに登り、とある泉まで歩いていきました。出発は5:45、そう、まだまだ夜は明けていません。泉にたどり着くまで、１時間の道程でした。
天候の関係で日の出こそ見られませんでしたが、日の出の時間になるとその水で体を清め、イースターを祝いました。
イースターの日の湧き水には特別な力があるそうです。イースターという日は、春になって（おそらく春分の日以降）最初の満月の次の日曜日、という風に決められているので、なんか信憑性があるような気もしないでもない。
月の満ち欠けと生命ってのは、どうしても色々な関係があるようなので、ひょっとしたら何かあるんでしょうか。新月の日に切り倒した木は虫が付きにくく長持ちする、とか言いますし。まぁ事実関係は、まだ私には分かりません。
ところで金曜・土曜の食事は質素なものでした。とくに金曜は、悲しみの金曜日？とか呼ばれていて（ちょうど死刑確定・執行の日にあたる）、肉類や甘いもの（チョコレート系 パンに塗るやつも）が無くなっていました。
それが日曜になったとたん、朝食から随分豪華（というか盛りだくさん）になりました。ハム類も魚も並ぶし、シリアル類の種類も豊富、大きなパンを焼いたりと、まさにお祝いムードでした。そして勿論、色を塗った卵もたくさん並んでいました。
P.S.
どうも英語で書くと／考えると、表面的なことしか書けません。日本語もどこか、たどたどしい感じが漂っていますねぇ。残念ながら私の脳味噌はそんなに良くないみたいです。
日曜の午後に、イエスの生涯にまつわる本（遠藤周作著）を読みました。実はもう２回目でしたが、非常に興味深い内容でした。色々感じたことや考えることも多かったんですが、どうもまだ言葉にはならないので、いつかまた書けるよう期待しておきましょう。
