Takefu International Music Festival / 武生国際音楽祭
As I was in Toga, I heard that there is an international music festival in Takefu, and then I called the office of it whether I can visit it and whether I can do some jobs. At the next morning I got on the train and went there. Yes, everything was so suddenly.
まだ利賀にいた頃に、武生というところで国際音楽祭があるぞという話を聞きました。急いで事務所に電話を掛け、行ってもいいか、あるいは手伝いでもいいから何か仕事が出来ないかと聞いてみて、翌朝には列車に乗り込んで現地入りしました。そう、すべては驚くほどの急展開でした。
Takefu is in Fukui-prefecutre, and this Takefu international music festival is 18th in this year. Its term is 8 days, and it’s held basically at Echizen culture center and also at some other places in the city. There were 13 concerts and 9 outreach concerts.
この武生国際音楽祭は福井県の武生（越前市）で開かれており、今年で１８回目。８日間に渡り、越前市文化センターを中心に町中のいたるところを使って開催されています。メイン・コンサートは計１３、町中へ繰り出しての出張コンサートは9つに及びました。
Outreach concerts were held at many places in the city. For example, at a temple, soba shop (noodle restaurant), Japanese restaurant, bank, public library, etc. Not only classical but also modern music were played there, but many audiences had deeply listented to the music, even there were many old people.
出張コンサートは、町中のいたるところで開かれてました。例えば、寺院、そば屋、料亭、銀行、図書館などなど。クラシックばかりでなく現代音楽も演奏されていたのですが、お客さんはお年寄りも多かったにも関わらず、みなさん結構聴き入っておられました。
ちなみに銀行は通常業務中のカウンター横でやりました。何も知らずに入ってきた銀行のお客さんが、そのまま足を止めていく姿が随分見まれましたね。
The special point of this music festival is that there are also a composition workshop and a master course for musical instruments. Some composers and musicians came from asia and europe, and they hold workshops for a week. Most of all students were Japanese, but some of them were from China and Korea.
These composers, players and students also hold some concerts in the festival, they showed the audience their works and plays.
この音楽祭のおもしろい点はというと、作曲と楽器演奏のワークショップがある、ということ。何人かの作曲家や演奏家がアジアとヨーロッパからやって来て、一週間のワークショップを開いてくれました。学生の大部分は日本人でしたが、中には中国や韓国からやってきた人も。
これら作曲家・演奏家・学生のコンサートも幾つか開催され、作品や演奏をお客さんに披露していました。
Otherwise, my jobs were variously: English & German translator, transporting musical instruments and other baggages, concert recording & CD making, photos, videos, etc. I also repaiered a bycicle 🙂
ところでところで、私の仕事というのも多岐に渡っておりました。英・独語の通訳、楽器＆荷物運び、コンサートの録音＆ＣＤ制作、写真撮影、ビデオ撮影などなど。自転車も一台修理しました（笑） 突然舞い込んだ割には、結構役に立てたんではないかと思います。
I could also heard a really nice concert there. The concert was: Nobuko Imai (Viola) + Kei Itoh (Piano). How can I say… I don’t remember what and how they played. I don’t know whether their playing was good. But I can say, the concert was really wonderful.
I don’t know why, but I reminded many many happy memories, and I was totally full of them during the concert.
I saw nothing during it. I heard almost nothing. But I felt happiness.
素晴らしいコンサートを一つ聴くこともできました。そのコンサートというのは、今井信子氏（ヴィオラ）＋伊藤恵氏（ピアノ）の２人によるもの。なんと言うんでしょうか… 何の曲をどう演奏したかなんて、全然覚えていないんですよね。演奏が上手かったかどうかすら、私には分かりません。ただいえるのは、そのコンサートは確かに素晴らしいものであったこと。
何故かはわかりませんが、幸せな、本当に幸せな記憶が次から次へと蘇ってきて、コンサートの間中ずっとその記憶と幸福感に満たされていました。目をつぶってたから何も見ていないし、ほとんど何も聴いてる意識がありません。でも、幸福感は確かに感じていた、と。
とてもとても不思議な体験でした。
